I watch trends, I partake in trends and I research trends. I think its important to know what is going on in the health and wellness world and to approach everything with curiosity and questioning. I first heard about the ketogenic diet when I was working in healthcare and it was being used to help people with epilepsy decrease their episodes. It was an effective treatment method and sparked my interest. Now it seems like so many people are trying out the ketogenic diet. I go into the details of the ketogenic diet in THIS ARTICLE. I have my opinions! For now here is a great recipe for anyone who is following a higher fat diet or who wants to make a snack that will help stabilize blood sugar levels. Enjoy!
Keto Energy Balls
Makes 12 balls, 4 servings
1/4 cup red walnuts
2 tbsp hemp seeds
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup macadamia nuts
1 tbsp almond butter
1 tbsp coconut butter
1 packet Four Sigmatic Adaptogen Coffee
Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Pulse until ingredients start to stick together, about 10-15 seconds. It's important not to pulse for too long or your mixture will become more liquid and be hard to roll. Roll into 1/2 inch balls and store in the refrigerator. Pop one when you need a little extra boost!
