Post Election Detox Smoothie



In this emotional time, putting your health at the forefront is one way to feel empowered. Hit the re-set button and try to let it all go with this smoothie detox recipe. There are certain foods that act as natural diuretics, meaning they pull water off your body and help stimulate your digestion (AKA make you poop). These are some of my favorite foods to eat/drink when I need a little boost and a little clean out, internal and emotional.

Post Election Detox Smoothie

  • 1 cup spinach

  • 3-4 mint leaves

  • 1/2 cup parsley

  • 1/2 a small lemon, squeezed

  • 1 persian cucumber

  • 1 stalk of celery

  • 1/2 inch of ginger

  • 1 cup of water

Blend all ingredients together and enjoy! The ingredients may separate a little and that is ok. If it takes you a little longer to drink, give it a quick stir occasionally to keep ingredients evenly dispersed.
